White House Communications Director Scaramucci Shares Some Nasty Words for Top White House Aides
By: Kayla Pasacreta
Anthony Scaramucci was only appointed just last Friday (not even a week ago!), but he has surely come into his new leadership with a bang. In a newly published interview with The New Yorker Reporter Ryan Lizza, Scaramucci came for everyone, chile. However, instead of coming for Democrats or oppositions, he came for his own - Steve Bannon and Reince Preibus. The kicker about this? Both Bannon and Preibus are senior White House aides.
The quotes from the interview are so incredibly vulgar it is hard to believe they were words openly uttered by a senior White House staffer. Scaramucci remarked:
“I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own c***”
— ANTHONY SCARAMUCCI, WHITE HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Though the vile nature of the quote in itself is unprecedented, for a White House senior staffer to publicly talk in such a disparaging manner of one of their colleagues seems downright crazy. Scaramucci went not on to threaten to fire everyone in the communications department if leaks from the White House do not stop. Scaramucci didn't just come for senior adviser Bannon: he had some words for White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus, too. Scaramucci described Priebus as a "paranoid schizophrenic."
According to Politico, a White House official said he did not believe Scaramucci would be punished for the comments, and did not think Trump would be bothered by the comments.
Scaramucci's words add to the chaos surrounding the White House administration.
