WTH is going on with immigration? The oppressive realities of Trump’s new immigration policy come to light.

Trump’s new immigration policy to prosecute everyone who crosses into the United States illegally has resulted in thousands of children being separated from their families. The “zero-tolerance policy” is being heavily criticized not just by usual Democrats, but some prominent Republicans, including first lady Melania Trump and former first lady Laura Bush, religious leaders are also speaking out about this oppressive immigrant policy. Reports have exposed large immigrant processing centers that hold children in wire cages and have gross living conditions.
Trump has blamed Democrats for the policy of separating families on Twitter:
As outrage grows over traumatic stories of families being torn apart, the big question this week in Washington is how long the controversial practice will be politically sustainable amid pressures on Trump and the Republicans to change this law.
The House could possibly vote this week on a compromise bill that reverses a court settlement and would now allow children to be held with their parents indefinitely if they are in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security. But this doesn't do anything to stop the Trump administration from continuing its current practice of prosecuting parents who cross the border without documentation in the criminal justice system. If the administration continues that practice, parents and children would still be separated. Ultimately, this all up to Trump to end this practice. Although we would love to have hope, we all know your President lacks a moral compass!
