The United States Secret Service confirmed Wednesday that they intercepted two suspicious packages sent to the homes of Barack and Michelle Obama and Hillary and Bill Clinton.

In the statement, Secret Service said the packages were “potential explosive devices and appropriately handled as such.” Not to worry, "the protectees did not receive the package nor were at risk of receiving them," the statement said.

The Secret Service has initiated a full-scope criminal investigation into the packages' origins, "a full scope criminal investigation that will leverage all available federal, state, and local resources to determine the source of the packages and identify those responsible."

This comes just two days after an explosive bomb was sent to the home of George Soros, a billionaire philanthropist who frequently donates to Democratic candidates and is often linked to Hillary Clinton.
