After sending the country into a 35-day government shutdown only to receive zero border wall funding, (y’all’s) President Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union address a week after it was originally scheduled. He called for “peace and legislation, not war and investigations”, bipartisanship, low prescription drug prices, and border security.
"If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn't work that way."

Speaker Pelosi was all about the sarcastic pettiness, co-signing Trump’s remark that the nation needs to “reject the politics of revenge, resistance, and retribution, and embrace the boundless potential of cooperation, promise, and the common good.”
AOC was mood AF.
Everything Trump is doing is a very big deal.
He’s not givin’ up his border wall dreams.
Other notes;
He vowed to invest in HIV/Aids funding so that the disease is “eliminated” within the next decade
He called for an end to late-term abortion
Called on Congress to take immigration more seriously and pointed to crimes made by immigrants
Bragged about the economy and low unemployment rates (thanks, Obama!)
Stacey Abrams also made history last night as the first ever African-American woman to deliver the Democratic response/rebuttal to the State of the Union.
