Trump and Kim Jong Un finally agreed to end the beef and engage in peaceful talks at the Singapore summit this week. This is nothing short of a miracle considering Kim Jong Un called Trump an “old lunatic” back in November, and  in response Trump put his Twitter fingers to work:

Now, fast forward to today, and Trump and Kim Jong Un are shaking hands and signing documents. The agreement said the two countries would co-operate towards "new relations", the US would provide "security guarantees" to North Korea, and end the regular military exercises the US conducts with South Korea. In return, Kim Jong Un’s part "reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula." Although this is great commitment that Kim Jon Un is making, observers are saying that the document lacks substance, in particular on how this denuclearization would be achieved and implemented in North Korea.

Additionally, critics are concerned about Trump's fast liking to Kim Jong Un- Trump has taken to flooding the dictator with compliments, as he called him "very smart" and boasted about the "great chemistry" between the two. The same day he praised Kim Jong Un, Trump took to bashing Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau, an unusual move considering Canada is a historical ally of the United States. Trump also assured his followers on Twitter that North Korea is no longer a threat, despite North Korea's history of not living up to promises about denuclearization.

In light of the agreement, Trump stated, "We both want to do something. We both are going to do something. And we have developed a very special bond," Trump said at the conclusion of the landmark summit. "People are going to be very impressed. People are going to be very happy."

Well, there you have it! It seems like Trump can stop using on Twitter fingers and get along with someone for once. Hopefully, this is a new habit for him.
