BREAKING: Paul Ryan Will Not Seek Re-Election

Breaking news out of Washington, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has been telling his confidants he is not running for re-election, two sources with knowledge to the situation told CNN. This comes as an embattled Republican Party must fight to win and secure seats in upcoming midterm elections.
Ryan has served in Congress since 2009, and became Speaker of the House in 2015. In December, Ryan had the significant achievement of passing sweeping tax reform. Still, Ryan has faced much criticism about his handling of the election, and then presidency of, Donald Trump.
