Republican Senator Corker Just Threw Some Premium Shade At Trump And Everyone Is Shocked

Republican Senator Corker Just Threw Some Premium Shade At Trump And Everyone Is Shocked

 By: William Fairfax

Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn) on Wednesday made a strange statement regarding the order of the White House. Sen. Corker stated that General James Mattis, General John Kelly, and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are the “people that help separate our country from chaos,” interesting criticism of President Trump by a prominent Republican, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and outgoing Senator. If you missed the slight shade – he subtly hinted that Trump is chaos and these members of his cabinet are the only ones who provide promising stability. Also interesting to note this comment came the same day of reports that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Trump a "f--king moron".

When asked to clarify was the “chaos” comment in regards to Trump he stated that those three aforementioned men work very well together to make sure the policies we put forth around the world are sound and coherent. There are other people within the administration that don't. I hope they stay because they're valuable to the national security of our nation.”

These statements are stunning revelations of what Senator Corker really thinks of Donald Trump. His message is clear, without those three men the White House would be in further disarray. In August, Corker criticized Trump and described he "has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful." Now, he's doubling down on his views, and expressing serious concerns for the national security of the country. As someone who has a role on the Foreign Relations Committee, this message from Corker should be alarming and taken seriously. Criticizing Trump is nothing new for politicians - but suggesting he puts the nation's security at stake is a serious statement.

Senator Corker recently announced his intentions not to run for his seat in the upcoming term. With no midterm election to win, he is protected from worrying about Donald Trump using his base to attack his campaign.   Still, we can't help wonder if other prominent Republicans share Corker's sentiments on Trump.
