Cardi B Endorses Cynthia Nixon For Governor Two Days After Nicki Minaj Endorses Cuomo

Ah, the rap beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has appeared to make its way all the way to the polls! Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s feud, which spilled into New York Fashion Week last Friday when Cardi B attempted to throw a shoe at Nicki Minaj, appears to be spilling into the New York gubernatorial race. The rappers, both New York natives, both urged their followers to vote in the New York primary - but they each endorsed different candidates.

Nicki Minaj tweeted a message Monday afternoon endorsing candidates who “know how to work for the people to make NY even GREATER."
Thursday afternoon Cardi B posted a photo of Nixon and her running-mate Jumaane with the caption, “Polls close around 8PM .NEW YORKERS VOTE NOW !!!!!! #cynthia #jumaane”

Andrew Cuomo has been the Governor of New York for the past 7 years, and is facing a challenge from former “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon, who is running on Democratic socialist platform, and has often accused Cuomo as not being progressive enough.
Despite the beef, props to Nicki and Cardi for urging their followers to head to the polls!
