Everyone's wigs were collectively snatched last night when Beyoncé made a surprise appearance at the Barclays Center in New York City to present NFL player-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick with the Muhammad Ali Legacy award. Here are four reasons the appearance was absolutely legendary:

1. Beyoncé neeever shows up to award shows.
2. It's Beyoncé!
3. Colin Kaepernick is the current woke people warrior.
4. Racists everywhere are collectively mad #af.
Queen Bey took to the stage to thank Kap for his "selfless heart", and provide a little clapback for his haters,
“It’s been said that racism is so American that when we protest racism, some assume we’re protesting America. So let’s be very clear,” she said. “Colin has always been very respectful of the individuals who selflessly serve and protect our country and our communities and our families. His message is solely focused on social injustice for historically disenfranchised people. Let’s not get that mistaken.”
Colin Kaepernick accepted the award with his typical grace and boldness, declaring. "'With or without the NFL’s platform, I will continue to work for the people."
And y'all, the racists came out in full force to bash Kap and Queen Bey:
Stay mad, haters!
The full award show will air on Friday night.
