In a possible effort to keep out the liberal news media, The White House banned CNN reporter Kaitlin Collins from attending a press event.

Collins was the representing five television networks as the pool reporter during Trump's meeting with the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker. When both men were done delivering remarks, Collins along with other reporters began asking questions. Collins asked some of the following:

“Mr. President, are you worried about what Michael Cohen is going to say to the prosecutors?” “Why is Vladimir Putin not accepting your invitation, Mr. President?”

“Are you worried about what is on the other tapes, Mr. President?”

As reporters were being rushed out of the Oval Office, Trump disregarded every question asked by Collins and set his gaze in another direction. The entire situation was captured by cameras and other journalists.

Not long after, Bill Shine, former Fox News executive who is now the the communications deputy chief of staff, called Collins into his office accompanied by Press Secretary Sarah Sanders. The reporter was told that she was not allowed to attend an open press event that was being held in the Rose Garden later that day. Collins told CNN “they thought the questions I had proposed to the president inappropriate and inappropriate for that venue.”

The White House confirmed that Collins was disinvited on the premise of her loudness and refusal to leave the president’s office. Fox News reporter, Bret Baier stated on air that “Fox News stands with CNN on issue of White House access.” The rival networks, although politically different, come together on an issue that have many Americans asking, how authentic is the White House with the public?
