Yes, Your President Called Democrats Treasonous For Not Applauding His SOTU Address

You know how you see headlines about Trump and you just have to click to make sure he really did that? And then you click on the headline and end up wondering why you were ever shocked? Yep, because same. On that note, we gotta talk about Trump's speech in Ohio today. It was seriously weird while being classic Trump at the same time.

In a speech Monday, Trump referred to Democrats as "bad energy" (side note, can we talk about people's 'energy' being the cultural term as of late), called himself "non-braggadocios", and condemned Democrats for not clapping during his State of the Union address. When speaking about Democrats refusing to clap for him, Trump stated,

“ Can we call that treason? Why not? I mean, they certainly didn’t seem to love our country very much.”

Trump continued to call Democrats "very selfish" and spoke about himself in third person, stating Democrats "would rather see Trump do badly than our country do well," Trump also couldn't help but stress his point of how much 'bad energy' Democrats brought to the address,

“ It got to a point where I really didn’t even want to look too much during the speech over to that side, because honestly it was bad energy. You know, it was bad energy.”

Despite Trump's comment being absurdly dramatic, can we reflect on the fact that the guy being investigated for colluding with Russians to win the election has the audacity to refer to someone as treasonous?
