After a pretty slow news weekend, we want to get you up to date on what news to look out for this Monday! In no particular order, check out the 5 news items listed below (in no particular order). 

1. Mark Zuckerburg testifying to Congress

Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg will have to face Congress Tuesday, and answer some vital questions about Facebook's privacy practices in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal. This will be Zuckerberg's first time testifying to Congress, and he will be in some pretty murky water trying to explain how the data of over 87 million Facebook users was breached to gain access to political preferences.

2. Stormy Daniels' legal team is releasing a sketch of the man who threatened her

Remember when Stormy Daniels said a man threatened her and her daughter back in 2011 when she was trying to sell her affair story? Well, her lawyer plans on releasing a sketch of the man today. Some insiders have buzzed the person might be Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner - we'll have to wait until the sketch is released to see if the mystery person is really that close to Trump.

3. North Korea might be serious about denuclearization

A U.S. official confirmed Sunday that North Korea is willing to discuss denuclearization with the United States, which will be discussed when Kim Kong Un and Donald Trump meet. Given North Korea's history of negotiation with the U.S., any agreement from North Korea is far from guaranteed.

4. Cardi B

OK, this has nothing to do with Washington but the streets have been buzzing about  Bronx rapper Cardi B's debut album "Invasion of Privacy". The album is breaking hella records already, and went gold on its release day. If you want to give it a listen, some bangers we suggest are "Get Up 10", "Bickenhead", "I Like It Like That", and "She Bad". Regardless of what song you listen to, the song is full of bops that embodies the classic woman-empowerment you get from female rappers.

5. Syria

The United States is trying to find their way out of Syria, but toxic gas bombs that hit Damascus Sunday may complicate that. According to the Washington Post, "A missile strike on an air base in central Syria was carried out by Israeli warplanes in the early hours of Monday morning causing multiple casualties," There were over 40 casualties from the attack.
