Rep. John Conyers, the longest serving Democrat in the House, is stepping down. His resignation comes after multiple accusations from former employees that Conyers sexually harassed them. Conyers called into a local Michigan radio station to announce his decision, "I am retiring today...I am in the process of putting together my retirement plans."

Conyers denied the allegations against him and insisted that his resignation will not tarnish his legacy. He has endorsed his son to take over his seat.
