The drama within the Trump Administration seems like it never ends. Today, Vice-President Mike Pence attended the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers football game. Things were going 'swell until some players from the Colts and 49ers engaged in peaceful protest and continued the trend of kneeling during the National Anthem. You would think Pence would expect this demonstration - given the current wave of football players taking a stand and the fact that a player from the 49ers is the one who started the kneeling-during-the-anthem movement. 

But, still, he saw players protest and was not having it. In a dramatic series of tweets, Mike Pence explained that he left the game after witnessing the players exercise their first amendment right. 

Not only is it ironic Pence would engage in a form of protest as well, it's extremely disappointing to witness a top political figure leave a game because of citizens exercising their right to freedom of speech and demonstration. 49ers safety Eric Reid blasted Pence's actions, stating,

Reid is joined by thousands of people calling Pence out - saying leaving was a planned stunt after Donald Trump tweeted he instructed Pence to leave when the players protested:

As if the situation couldn't get any weirder, Pence tweeted a photo of himself and his wife at the football game to make it look like it was taken today, but the photo was originally posted three years ago. In summary, it looks like Trump and Pence planned a grand publicity stunt that inconvenienced fans, cost the Secret Service a lot of work and money, and made taxpayers pay for a jet from the game to California. Obviously in 2017 nothing matters.
